I don’t know what it is about violins in metal that I love so much, but It’s amazing. Here we have a violin lead folk metal band called The Night Watch. This is their third LP, and it’s set for release this Friday, you don’t wanna miss it!

The album is mostly instrumental aside from a few gang shouts and acapella sections here and there, but you really don’t need vocals with exquisite instrumentals like these. It’s very beautifully composed, with the violins soaring over the blasting metal riffs and deep punchy bass lines. The first half of the record is light-hearted, jovial, and epic. The second half is beautiful, ethereal, and sweeping. The two different moods flow together quite well. It’s a journey of an album, you know it’s good when the instrumentals make you feel things.
Definitely a good listen. Once again, November 15th, don’t miss it!
