Crypt Crawler Unveil Artwork And Single For Upcoming EP “Blood Sustenance”

Reported by CarcassBomb

Crypt Crawler are one of my favorite Australian death metal bands, their 2019 LP, To The Grave made it on my Top 25 Aussie Metal Albums list and I’ve covered them in various other ways. These boys are the fresh new face of Aussie death metal and they’ve just announced a swift follow up EP titled “Blood Sustenance” that is due for release March 13th, 2020. Pre-Orders are currently up through Bandcamp here. It was the quickest I have ever gone from seeing an announcement to purchasing a pre-order in my life and it’s only 4 dollarydoos which in your currency is probably like 2.6 dollars, the physical CD isn’t much dearer, this is a steal.

The original piece is a painting by Aert van der Neer (and his hair was perfect) called “Moonlit Landscape with a View of the New Amstel River and Castle Kostverloren” from the 1600’s that is now in the public domain. The vocalist, Marco, then edited it for the cover to make it more metal and badass, clearly. The original can be seen here.

Here’s the single for the release, a track called “The River Of Blood”.

Here’s hoping this new material will not only bring the band to new heights, but also to Brisbane for a show so I can see them live.
