Interview: Eternal Storm, “Come The Tide” on Transcending Obscurity Records (Melodic Death Metal)

Eternal Storm made one hell of a splash in 2019 with “Come The Tide”, a sophisticated album that made its way into many end of year lists including my own. I still listen to it every week and cannot recommend it enough. It’s cumulative of it’s inspirations while also maintaining its own identity throughout. There’s a strong sense of voice across this album matched by strong musicianship and song writing. It’s been a while since I’ve heard some good punk influenced death metal. Deathgrind, grindcore, whatever you want to call this, It’s pretty fucking rad and definitely some dirty shit through and through. Album Review: Eluvian – Prophetic Flame 8 (Melo Death)

I found this album due to the artwork from Luke Oram who has done a bunch of solid metal records in the past couple of years like Firelink and Slugdge. He can do a variety of styles really well like fantasy, scifi and horror. He’s done a heap of covers but has a small following, he’s basically one of metals secret weapons right now.
