Self described as “Acid mountain rock”, “Speed Doom” or just “Heavy Fuckin’ Rock”. Scissorfight has just released their first LP in over a decade and first every Vinyl LP since reforming with a new lineup in 2016. Scissorfight are back in full mud stomping force. Doomus Abruptus Vol.1 is front to back a raucous good time. Caveman Television is the strongest opening to an album you can get, it is an anthem worthy lead into some of the most southern and heaviest rock and roll you will hear this year from an OG band of the genre. “Give rock or give me death”.

From 1994 to 2006 the heavy rock band Scissorfight roamed the land, playing their particularly gross and graunching brand of rock and roll for the people and in the process leaving many an eardrum and music venue rent asunder. The people approved. In 2003 and 2004, Scissorfight were named “best hard rock band” at the Boston Music Awards.

After a lengthy break, and the addition of two new members, this latest material feels fresh and energised, ready to be unleashed upon the unsuspecting world.  The insatiable need for RIFFS and VOLUME is real. Scissorfight have made the perfect music for people to drink beer outdoors in the isolated woods while the rest of the world burns down around them. Listen… is that a fucking Sasquatch lumbering through the forest, coming to rip our spines out? Nope, it’s worse…. it’s another Sisccorfight riff bulldozing your face off! The songs are catchy AF and will surely earn repeated listening and drinking.
“Born on a mountain, raised in a cave, fighting and drinking is all I crave” – from the track Where Eagle Drinks sums up these guys perfectly

Doug “myowngrave” Aubin is making sounds out of his face. Delivering tales of absurd and atrocious behaviors from the woods, sandpits and streets of New Hampshire.

Drums are being smashed by none other than Rick “Stixxx” Orcutt. Solid, loud and punk as fuck.

Along with founding members Paul “Jarvis” Jarvis on the low end four stringer and Jay “Octocock” Fortin covering the high mids on his six stringer

The members are available for interview via email/phone/skype just say the word.

Salt Of The Earth have been harbouring these lunatics for a long time now and a strong roster of heavy music. All promotional materials have been provided by the label. Physical copies can be found on their store page.
