Microdose: Ploughshare – Tellurian Insurgency (Sludge/Black)

Well that was unsettling. Ploughshare play a fucked kind of black/death/sludge metal that will make you feel physically unsafe even in the comfort of your own home. Tellurian Insurgency is their brand new EP through Aussie label Brilliant Emperor and it releases on the 29th of November. Not an album for the easily scared, if this is you, then turn your radio back on and continue listening to Kyle and Jackie-O, you clicked the wrong social media link. Happens to the best of us. […]

Album Review: Snorlax – II 8.5 (Black Metal)

Snorlax, besides the bubbly pokemon, is a not so bubbly blackened death solo project created by Brandon Auld, who is an Australian metal machine from my neck of the shit-woods Brisbane. He’s involved in numerous projects such as the death/hardcore band Descent and recording/Mixing as Black Blood Audio. This is especially true with his solo project Snorlax which will confront you as harshly as any full band would dare. […]

Aussie Metal Top 25 of 2019

This list isn’t pride in Australia as much as it is a list celebrating musicians who despite being Australians, managed to successfully create and distribute their music. So these bands deserve praise and attention for having the ability to create potent art in this modern western culture, even at the risk of crippling debt, or even worse, no one hearing it. […]

Free Bandcamp Wiki

Here’s a list of Bandcamp albums that are Name Your Own Price (free). It’s encouraged to support the bands if possible but I know it’s not possible for all of us. If you want one added email it to me or even better join the FB group and post it there. If you enjoy or use these resources I make, I too would appreciate any donations through the sidebar (bottom on mobile) as it takes a long time to do things like this and also it helps me pay pesky site fees.
